I was employed as the news editor for REA Group on a 12-month maternity leave cover contract.
FREELANCE JOURNALIST, WRITER AND EDITOR

I was a freelance property journalist for The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald and View Real Estate, writing stories on everything from house price to interest rates.
I also worked as a copy writer for multiple PR companies in the property, lifestyle and homewares space, advising them on pitching to publications and crafting compelling stories for clients.
EDITOR, DOMAIN REVIEW MAGAZINE
December 2020 – November 2023
Domain Review is a Melbourne magazine giving readers the best of what is happening in their city.
I was responsible for planning content, commissioning and editing stories from contributors and working with our design and photography teams to produce an informative, entertaining and visually appealing magazine.
My role also involved working with our sales team to ensure our content is appealing to advertisers – maximising the magazine’s revenue.
Each week I planned and commissioned articles, worked with our photo editor to conceptualise and plan photo shoots, finalised the layout of the magazine working with print production teams, edited copy, wrote engaging headlines, and produced our articles for online.
I also occasionally wrote feature stories for the magazine, as well as managed its Instagram account.

JOURNALIST, DOMAIN PROPERTY NEWS AND THE AGE
October 2017 – December 2020
I was a property journalist for Domain News and The Age covering housing, property, planning and all aspects of how and where people live.
My specific interest was in demographics, urban planning and liveability, and I wrote extensively on these subjects and how they influence people’s housing choices.
My time in the Domain news team has seen me break stories, write in-depth features for both print and online, and handle stories for campaigns including Domain Liveable Melbourne 2019 and The Block 2020.

LIFESTYLE JOURNALIST, THE WEEKLY REVIEW
April 2015 – October 2017
I started at The Weekly Review (now Domain Review) as a local lifestyle reporter for the Eastern region and was quickly moved to cover the flagship Stonnigton and Boroondara magazine.
After a restructure, I was tasked with writing features and cover stories, along with compiling images for fashion and food pages of the magazine.
I also pitched the concept of producing and presenting ‘Shopping Spree’ videos and writing corresponding print and online articles to showcase Melbourne suburbs.

Studio Moshi is an animation studio producing animated television series. I was employed both as a production assistant and content creator. My role involved the following:

I have interned at Crikey, Leader Community Newspapers, Seven News Melbourne, WIN News Ballarat and Universal Magazines.
While studying I worked in reception at a fire safety company and prior to that I worked in retail for companies including Cue and Sportsgirl.
During this time I was also a singer in various bands (including an ABBA tribute band!) and a children’s entertainer at birthday parties and events.
